How to Hijack + Get Massive Traffic + Massive Backlinks to your Site Online
There are many different methods advertised and taught about how to build your website traffic and backlinks. Bottom line is having the best quality content IS the way to go. If you have really great content on your website it will be liked and shared which will mean your visitors are doing your backlink building for you AND they are spreading the word.
BUT beyond just great
online content there is another way to dramatically boost your websites traffic
and popularity using a little known method called:
The Content Frosting Method.
It's called the Content Frosting Method because the key to this method is before you create a piece of content on a particular topic, do a search for that topic and find the absolute best page you can find. This is like the cake. What you are going to do is take that content that is already great (that someone else wrote) and you are going to make it even better. Just like a cake is good but putting on the frosting REALLY makes it fantastic!! Get the idea?
This Content Frosting Method guarantees high quality
backlinks and good
website traffic because you are taking a piece of content that is already published that is popular and you are making it even better.
The 3-Steps “Content Frosting Method” to bring Tons of Quality Links
And MASSIVE Targeted FREE organic Traffic.
There 3 basic steps Content Frosting Method:
- Find content that is already fantastic, that is getting good search engine
placement and being shared a lot by others. (content that is proven to be
traffic and backlink generating).
- Take that content and make it just a little bit better and more complete,
more link-worthy, more share-worthy.
- Send word of this new content you have created and "frosted" to the RIGHT
people.
Step #1: Find Content that is already Fantastic, that is getting Good Search
Engine Placement and Rankings and is Being Shared a lot by others. (content that
is proven to be traffic and backlink generating).
Method #1 to Find Great Content you can 'Frost'
- Find the exact keyword phrase you are going to orient your content around.
You can do this with a free trial of Jaaxy or another
keyword tool. Enter in a root keyword and press Search. You want to find a
related keyword phrase that is a long tail keyword (4 words or more) and has
little competition and lots of searches. In Jaaxy these are the keyword
phrases in green.
- Take that keyword phrase and put it into Google search. Copy and paste the
ROOT urls of the top 20 Google search results into notepad. The root urls is the
part of the url up until and including the .com or .net, trimming off everything
after that. For example the Open Site Explorer web address is
http://moz.com/researchtools/ose/. The root of that is http://moz.com.
- Take each of the root urls in the list you now have and put each of them
into the Open Site Explorer Tool.
- Click the TOP PAGES link to the left. This will reveal which pages on these
sites has the most backlinks and social sharing.
- Find the pages that have at least 25 linking ROOT domains.
Method #2 to Find Great Content you can 'Frost'
- Find several of the highest quality, low competition, keywords you are going
to orient your content around.
- Go to Topsy website
and put each of the keyword phrases into Topsy.
- Choose the ALL TIME tab/link to the left.
- Topsy will reveal the most popular, well liked, most shared content to you.
Step #2: Take Already Great Content and make it Better, more Complete, more
Link-worthy, More Share-worthy, More Google-worthy
Method #1 to Making Good Content Better
Make the content longer. This can be especially effective if the content is
already fairly short, say less than 500 words. If content that is fairly short
is already getting lots of social shares,
Facebook
likes and backlinks then imagine if you added several hundred quality words of
content to that. If its a list of something like '10 ways to xyz' then make it
15 ways to xyz.
Method #2 to Making Good Content Better
Make it visually more appealling. If you can make it look better than it will
be more attractive to people, automatically. Maybe the content has no pictures -
so add a few. Maybe the content is just laid out horribly. Make it look nice and
neat.
Method #3 to Making Good Content Better
Make it more exciting. Interject exciting words and phrases that are proven
to increase sales and excitement into the content, especially the h2 and h2
tags, etc. There are two types of words that fall into this category:
- Hypnotic words. These three words are the most powerful because they act to
penetrate the subconcious mind and engage the imagination and bring forth
excitement.
- Power words. These are words that have been proven to increase sales. Even
though we are not actually selling anything really we are trying to get the
readers emotionally involved. The more we can do this the more they will like
our content, share it and backlink to it.
Here is the list of Hynotic words:
- Imagine. This one gets the subconcious mind to start
painting a movie in your mind where you are involved and right there. Instead of
saying "learn how to get more social shares of your content", "image how it
feels to log in and see that 34 more people today have shared your content
across the web." Using image causes the mind to go into picture and fantasy mode
and it's much more three dimensional and powerful.
- Because. This one is used a lot in TV commercials in ways
that don't even make sense but its so powerful and it works. There was an
experiement conducted (revealed in the book
Influence: the Psychology of Persuasion.)
where a person tried cutting into a long line of people wating to use a copying
machine. The first person in the experiment merely asked if they could cut in
front of the person. The percentage of people who complied was very low. The
second person asked if they could cut in front of the other person BECAUSE they
have to make make copies. About twice as many people complied with the request
even the what followed the word BECAUSE (because I have to make copies) was so
obvious.
- You. The word "you" mades the subject matter more personal.
We are all most concerned about ourselves. When making already great content
better look for ways of making the content more personal by using the word "you"
a lot more in the content.
Here is a list of Power words.

Method #4 to Making Good Content Better
Try to include links to other really great and useful content. Google will
love this one as well. Instead of just providing a list of places to
ping your new content,
actually provide links to these places. This makes your improved, frosted
version more complete and thorough.
Method #5 to Making Good Content Better
Make the content more accurate and more relevant. Depending on the topic, if
the content is more than a couple of years old maybe the information is somewhat
outdated. Update it with more accurate information.
One thing that could potentially assist in make content better is the use of
Content
Curation Software.
Step #3: Send Word of this New Content you have Created and "frosted" to the
RIGHT people
Once you have completed finding already great content and improving upon it,
this final step is the frosting to the cake (no pun intended). This is where you
take control and don't just wait for and hope your content gets noticed and
shared - you MAKE it happen. What you do is find the website and blog owners
already linking to the same kind of stuff (but remember you have taken it and
made it way better) and ask them, in the right way, to link to your newly
created, content frosted page.
- Use any tool that allows you to find who is linking to your competitors
content such as Ahrefs, Majestic or Open Site Explorer.
- Compile as large a list as possible of site owners.
- Email them using something like the email below. If only a small percentage
of these site owners link to you, you have created quality, one way, backlinks
to your content that may create a rise in your page rank and bring you free
traffic.
